That is unbelievable, but I did it !

Last week, I finished my research paper. After I handed in the paper, I felt I got the freedom. That is unbelievable, but I did it. HA HA, during the research paper, I found that I have learned a lot of things. For example, I have learned how to use the data basis to search information, and how to find the useful books. And I also learned how to put a bunch of information together. I also learned a lot of nuclear energy. Although it takes me a long time, I still have a good experience. Moreover, I think research paper is a nice project, beacuse we can practice our writing skills and ability of paraphrase. At the end, I want to say " That is amazing that I did it."

1. How many children did your grandparents have? What about your parents? How many children do you want to have?
My grandparents had 4 children, 3 girls and 1 boy. Now I am the only child in my family. For me, I want to have 2 children, one girl and one boy, and the boy is old than the girl.


2. What is the population of your country? What impact does the population have on the quality of life there?
In China, we have 132,800,000 people. Most people have a normal quality of life, they have their own houses, some of them even have their own cars, and in some parts of China, people are very poor, sometimes, they can only earn their basic needs. In addition, there are many rich people in China, they own many houses or villas,and they have some very experience cars.


3.Has there been a significant shift in your country from rural areas to urban areas? If yes, what are the consequences?
Yes. It has been a significant shift in China from rural areas to urban areas. As a consequence, cities are becoming more and more crowed, and in some cities, it also cause urban sprawl.

when i saw these two videos, I felt that my heart was hurts, and there are two reasons. The first reason is these statistics, I never know that everyday there are about 5700 people die from AIDS and 7.6 million people died from cancer during 2007. This really surprised me. And the second reason is because of these animals. We use their lives for our own purpose. We never care about their feelings, when we do the research. On one hand, we have no choice, because so many disease are come from animals, and these disease are affecting our health, so we have to find the treatment for these disease, or we all going to die. But I think animals also have their rights, we can not take their lives, just because some tests or researches. however, on the other hand, animals also can get benefits from these tests, they can evolve themselves. Someone said that get something, lose something. when the animals lose their lives, they also get a chance to evolve their specie.

This week we started our research project. This project plays a big role in level 8, so I have to try my best. In my research paper, I want to talk about nuclear energy. These days, I start to search and read some articles about my topic. During these days, I have learned a lot of things. Now I know how to use search program and database to find the articles or information that i need. I also learned how to use our library. In addition, I also learned a lot of things from these articles. For example, I learned the history of nuclear energy. At first, it was used in wars as super weapons. I also learned some advantages and disadvantages of nuclear energy. I believed that I will learn more about nuclear energy in the next few weeks.

reaction on the Redpath Museum

On September 24, we went to the Redpath Museum. It is located in MCGILL University, downtown campus. I was so suprised that there were so many different kinds of fossils. For example, there were many animals fossils and many plants fossils. I was very interested in the animals. I could find different kinds of animals and they were lived in different period of time. I saw the fossils of dinosaurs, i also found many fossils of shells which lived in the ancient time. During the visit , i saw the handwirting of "origin of species". It was amazing, i was confused that how they can keep these pages for hundreds of years. If i have a chance to go there again, i think i'll invited my friends to go with me, bacause this museum is very interesting and we can learn a lot of things there. For example, we can learn Darwin's evolution there. If you are interested in archaeology, i suggest that you can go there, because you can find a lot of fossils there. At the end i want to show you some pictures.
